Done!!!

I recently joined the world of knitting. I am really enjoying it and was pleased when Aaron asked me to make a hat for him. I found a pattern on the internet and plugged away at it with MANY calls to my mother for help.

It is finally done. It is practically IMPERFECT in every way, but I sure learned a lot! I kind of knew it would be a little small for Aaron, but felt too unpracticed to try to alter it to make it bigger.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how it swirls to a point (as pictured in the third photo.)

Wow that looks amazing. I am really impressed that you are already making such cool hats. Aaron is really handsome isnt he. Man.

I have started knitting as well. So far I stink at it. Oh well. I am sure in a few months I will be trying a hat pattern as well.

Aaron looks like he is doing his "okay, so I am self-conscious because my picture is being taken, so I will act silly and make a pensive face" thing.

I am impressed! You did a great job on the hat. I think that it is great that you are trying to teach yourself new skills. I really should do the same. Way to go!

You are amazing! I want to learn to sew but haven't gotten the courage to try it with the kids underfoot. Anyway, I am so happy for you taking the intiative and going for it. The hats are great, I love the swirl as well, and teh quilt. Someday I will delve into that world and I'll be calling you many times. :) You are my inspiration.
